Welcome to Coax London

Thank you for visiting this blog ♥ Coax London is a project of love about love…  I love a lot of things, as you will soon discover.  I am a believer in true love.  Not necessarily “the one” but sharing your life with someone who is loved and loves you just the way you want.

Mutually fulfilling sex is of utmost importance.  It is the ultimate embodiment of this shared love.  While this blog is not all about sexual intimacy, most of it will be… laced with what, why, when, how, where and who we love.

Join the conversation, your knowledge and experience will make this blog better!

If Coax London were a quote- “The difference between expressing love and having regret, is that regret can last forever” [Charles Hanson Towne 1877-1949]

Turnbull Grey's Letterpressing Love

No word of a lie I tell you!  You’ll just have to take me… ;)

well, literally…

Recently I had the pleasure of meeting Chris and Angela of Turnbull Grey at Craft Central Studios in Clerkenwell.  A delightful duo and power house of Graphic Design and Brand Identity brains (among other specialities).  Currently however, they are moonlighting as letterpress tutors.

Sharing a little of their love and expertise for letters and words, they are holding in-house workshops to teach you the colourful wonders of letterpressing.

Using their cool studio, you can proudly design and create your very own Christmas cards, Thank You cards and even posters! Or perhaps you have a special invitation to make? or want to send some truly personal postcards for those you love far, far, away…

No need to limit your ideas to just these; one of their recent pupils went as far as making a bespoke book jacket!  Imagine the fun you could have with that!!  A touch of April Fools silliness or an “actual” surprise present on Christmas Day!

Of course adding a little imagination and elbow grease means that your stroke of creative genius is much more than “just” a bit of pretty letterpress stationery.  Instead, it becomes the present itself!  A momento of your creativity cherished by family and friends; a card, that is actually kept, (in that special box or drawer, you know the one I’m talking about).

Should you be in any doubt of your artistic talents, know that you have expert visual communication designers at your disposal.  A little collaboration will ensure you leave proudly with a bundle of unique gifts made by your hand.

Regardless of your artistic endeavors, it will be pretty hard not to have fun donning on an apron, an array of colours at your keen disposal, looking a little dangerous with ink rollers in hand.  It’s an excellent way to share an afternoon with friends.

If you fancy having a little creative dabble, Turnbull Grey are holding their letterpress workshops throughout December and January.  If instead you know someone who would, for Christmas you can buy a letterpress workshop voucher.  The workshops cost £60 each for 3 hours and include all materials, tea and coffee.  Workshops are limited to 3 people so you really get hands on attention from both Angela and Chris.  And if you’re over Christmas already, you’ll be ahead of the game for some handmade Valentine’s Day card lovin’.

While your there, make sure you pop into the Vitra Showrooms for their Christmas Market (5th-22nd Dec).  Situated just around the corner from Craft Central Studios at 30 Clerkenwell Road.  Here you’re likely to find that unusual and cool Christmas present you can attach to your card :)

Me-  Talk is sweet and cheap.  What isn’t said, is often more important than what is.

Voice In My Head-  Good girl.  See more and listen less.

Much thanks to those that vote (below) on my miniature rambles. Ox

Welcome to the final part (but not quite the end) in this love letter pentalogy.  For those just tuning in, you can read the first part (and I’d recommend you to) here.  If you’re looking for a love letter to kick all love letters… then you should probably take a tip from somewhere else.  Mine well… mine, didn’t exactly have the desired effect.

In my arrogance believing that I had found some magical key to finding the perfect relationship, much hinged on one thing… sharing similarities.
